What you’ll get from us

Do your staff complain of being too hot or too cold? Are they boiling or freezing, or maybe complaining that the air is muggy, stuffy or that there are drafts? In our experience, when staff make repeated temperature complaints, they become less satisfied and less productive. We find solutions.

From us you’ll get an independent recommendations report from an experienced engineer, that sets out how to resolve the problems.

We use thermal imaging, temperature data logging and a non-invasive survey to identify the root causes. We talk to affected staff and listen to their feedback. Often we find that the task of remedying the problem has been previously been delegated to maintenance teams who’s skills centre around traditional maintenance rather than building physics –  where this is the case we can help to support them.

Are there other benefits?

Temperature stabilization can be a starting point for energy reduction and adjustments to air handling systems often lead to improved indoor air quality. Together, achieving thermal comfort and better air quality creates a better environment for staff – and happier staff are more productive. Our reports can be used in conjunction with your ISO14001 Environmental Management System.

How do we do it?

Buildings can be more complicated that they might first appear and we look at your building holistically, including:

  • How the building has been constructed
  • The level of occupancy
  • Air quality
  • Air movement
  • Heating
  • Ventilation
  • Cooling

After improvements have been made we’re able to again monitor and data log temperature fluctuations, minute by minute. We can again take staff feedback to assess satisfaction and communicate how the systems can be used and controlled efficiency
