An Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) needs to be in place or instructed within 7 days of marketing a property and first page of the EPC is displayed within property particulars.
The EPC gives you an indication of the running costs of a property and shows not only which improvements would lower your bills, but also how to get funding to carry out the improvements where the only repayments that need to be made come from the money savings themselves.
What’s the big picture?
Much of the energy used in our buildings is wasted. It’s an established principle that the first step to reducing something is to first measure it – that’s where we use energy ratings, they are a measure of our starting point and are used to show which potential home improvements will yield the biggest gains.
Need an EPC for the feed in tariff?
Properties rated D and above get higher feed in tariff payments from the government. Accuracy is key when producing energy ratings and we’re regularly audited by our accreditation body to prove exactly that. In over 1000 EPCs we have always reached the required standard of accuracy.
